Cliff Room 1 sprinted to a 5-0 lead at home against Bak Dor 2, then cruised to a 13-2 victory. Pat Wieser led Cliff Room with three wins and a
table run. Teammates David Clark and Eddie Velez also had three wins. Rundi Culp and "Super Mario" Reyes scored the lone Bak Dor game wins.
6th place Cliff Room 1 improved to 6-7 while 10th place Bak Dor 2 fell to 4-9.
2nd place Monty's 2 (11-2) overcame an early 2-1 deficit with a five-game win streak and went on to post a 9-6 home victory against Break Time 1.
Mundo Burques led Monty's with three wins. Teammate Jim Steele had a break-and-run, and captain Alfonso Lazaro followed Steele's run with his own table run.
After Monty's charged to a 6-2 lead, Break Time, led by two-game winners Andre Aparicio and Marc Alexander, closed the gap to 7-5 but lost steam in the end.
The loss dropped Break Time 1 (9-4) back to 4th place.
1st place Don Q's 1 (12-1) built an early 5-2 lead at 5th place Sportsman 1 (8-5), then hung on for a narrow 8-7 victory. Robert "Run Out" Rosa opened the match
for Don Q's with a table run, and after three-game winner Brent Boone escaped with a win over Rick "Mad Ass" Hemmings, Don Q's held a 5-2 lead.
Sami "Cast Iron Bitch" sparked a Sportsman comeback with a win over then-division-leader Jim Holloway. Leana "Mississippi Hellcat" Finley followed with
the second of her three wins to close the gap to 5-4. Then, in the key game of the match, Don Q's Larry Smith was able to hold off Chris "The Ripper" Ackler
to keep the match from being tied. Hemmings was able to beat Holloway in game 12, Finley and Ackler finished off the match with game wins (Finley's was a table run),
but Don Q's was able to scratch out two wins in the beer frame to secure the match.
Ricardo Topete had three wins to help lead Creekside 1 to a 9-6 win over visiting Monty's 1. Creekside jumped out to a 3-1 lead, but Monty's won 3 of 4 to tie the score.
The match went back and forth until the score was 6-6. Creekside won out from there. Joe Mesa and Ernesto Sanchez led Monty's with two wins each.
7th place Creekside 1 improved to 6-7, while 8th place Monty's 1 fell to 4-9.
Captain Sebastian Aldana had three wins and a table run to lead his Moose Lodge squad to an exciting 8-7 win at Old King's Road 2 and move his team into sole possession of 3rd place.
After Aldana opened the match with his first table run since June 5, 2007, three-game winner Sarah Paradis sparked a three-game Old King's Road win streak.
In the next 6 games, Moose Lodge's Chuy Martinez got two of his three game wins as the Moose charged back to take a 6-4 lead.
Geoff Sylvester and Paradis then won their last games to tie the match at 6-6, but Martinez and Aldana won back-to-back games to put the Moose Lodge (10-3) over the top.
9th place Old King's Road 2 fell to 4-9.
Cliff Room 2 won 10 of the last 11 games at Old Town Tavern and easily won the match, 12-3. Albert Covarrubias and Nick Doerr led Cliff Room with three wins each, and
teammate Brendan Mackey rolled in his first-ever league table run. Marty Schwind, Rob Nowland, and captain Jay Younger scored the lone Old Town game wins.
6th place Cliff Room 2 improved to 8-5. 10th place Old Town Tavern fell to 3-10.
Captain Keith Gruel had three wins, leading 9th place Creekside 2 to an 8-7 win at Break Time 2. This was a wild, back-and-forth match. Creekside jumped
out to a 2-0 lead, but at the end of the first frame, Break Time had gone ahead, 3-2. Creekside won 4 of the next 5 games to take a 6-4 lead, but
Break Time's Avonell Ogden and Paul Kouns quickly tied the score at 6-6. After son Kyle won to put his team on the hill, Keith Gruel followed up with his third
win of the night to seal the victory. Both teams now stand at 4-9. Break Time 2 dropped to 8th place with the loss.
Monty's 3 charged out to a 6-1 lead at Break Time 5 but had to hold on for an 8-7 victory. Kevin Farrell's three wins were the difference for Monty's 3 (10-3), who
moved up one spot to 3rd place with the win. Mike Rys had three wins for Break Time, moving him into 2nd place in B Division. With the loss, Break Time 5 (9-4)
dropped from 3rd to 5th place.
Carp Billiards gave 2nd place Old King's Road 1 a great battle, but Old King's Road was able to pull away late for a 9-6 victory. Carp Billiards' Colin Clayton
led all scorers with three wins, and teammate Mary Cammack played perhaps the best game of her life against #4 Pete Conover, but four OKR players
(Conover, Sam Auchincloss, Andy Reagan, and Tony Allred) were able to squeeze out two wins each to give OKR the match win. With the win, Old King's Road 1 improved to 11-2.
11th place Carp Billiards fell to 2-11.
Don Q's 2 won the last four games at home against Sportsman 2 to put an end to their opponent's upset hopes and escape with a 9-6 victory.
Behind two-game winners Kate Williams and Anthony Saenz, Sportsman jumped out to a 4-1 lead. After Ken Hilton rolled in his first-ever league table run, Don Q's had
come back to tie the score at 4-4, but Sportsman won 2 of the next 3 games to enter the beer frame with a 6-5 lead. It was all Don Q's after that.
Hilton, Steve Myers, Peter Garcia, and Antonio Martinez all had two wins for Don Q's 2 (9-4), who moved up to 4th place with the win. Last place
Sportsman 2 fell to 2-11.
Endless Summer fell behind 3-2 at home against last place Tiburon Tavern but was able to win 8 of the last 10 games to post a 10-5 victory.
Shaun Snyder and captain Adam Priddy led Endless Summer with three wins each, while Tiburon was paced by two-game winner Josette DeSoto.
Endless Summer (5-8) moved up to 7th place with the win. Tiburon Tavern (0-13) is still seeking their first win of the season.
Cliff Room 4's Maurice Elias ran wild against hometown Cliff Room 3, winning three games with a table run and a break-and-run, and 1st place Cliff Room 4 (12-1) won easily by a 12-3 score.
Fahim Azizi also had three wins for Cliff Room 4, and teammate Peter Tagles had his second table run of the season. Keith Baugher had a table run for 11th place Cliff Room 3 (3-10).
