Cliff Room 1 jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never trailed in the match as they easily handled host Old King's Road 2 by a score of 10-5.
Pat Wieser, David Clark, and Gene Manriquez each had three wins for 6th place Cliff Room 1 (7-8). Bryan Lum led 10th place
Old King's Road 2 (4-11) with two wins.
High off last week's upset win at Sportsman, Cliff Room 3 sprang into action against visiting Creekside 1 by taking a 4-1 lead, but
behind Mark Weingartner's three wins, Creekside came right back and charged to an 8-7 victory. The win keeps 7th place Creekside 1 (7-8)
in step with 6th place Cliff Room 1 in the race for the final playoff position. Chris Smith had his second straight three-win night for
11th place Cliff Room 3 (4-11).
1st place Don Q's 1 never trailed in their week 15 match against 8th place Monty's 1, but it took three straight Don Q's
wins at the top of the beer frame to finally put Monty's away. Three-game winner Larry Smith got the ball rolling for Don Q's with a win
in the opening game. After two-game winner Jesse Oliver tied the score at 1-1, Don Q's won 4 of the next 5 games to take a 5-2 lead.
John Bushnell then handed Don Q's Jeff Azevedo his only loss of the night, and in the captain vs. captain match, Don Q's
Jim Holloway table ran Ernesto Sanchez. Joe Mesa then got the first of his two game wins as Monty's closed the gap to 6-4.
Smith then closed out his perfect night, sparking Don Q's to a three-game rally that put them over the top. Monty's won the last two games but
it was a little too late for a comeback. Don Q's improved to 14-1 while Monty's dropped to 5-10.
The Moose Lodge stumbled out of the gate in their match at 2nd place Monty's 2 and it cost them as Monty's won by a nose, 8-7. Vicente
Mosqueda got two of his three wins on the night to help Monty's sprint out to 7-2 lead. Sub Todd Smith had three wins for the Moose Lodge, who
won all but one of the remaining games to almost pull off the miracle comeback. With the win, Monty's 2 improved to 13-2.
4th place Moose Lodge fell to 10-5.
3rd place Break Time 1 (11-4) had little difficulty handling last place Tiburon Tavern (0-15), winning 14-1. Andre Aparicio,
Marc Alexander, George Guerrero, and Paul Williams all had three wins for Break Time. Ben Woolf got the lone Tiburon game win.
4th place Break Time 5 (11-4) won the first four games of their match at Endless Summer and cruised to a 10-5 victory. Endless Summer was able to
put together some wins in the middle of the match, but Break Time won the last three games to cement the match win.
Bob Pastor led Break Time with three wins, running his winning streak to eight games. Shaun Snyder and Skyler Stamegna each had two wins for
Endless Summer. 7th place Endless Summer fell to 6-9.
B Division leaders Cliff Room 4 won 6 of the first 7 games and cruised to an 11-4 victory at Creekside 2. Fahim Azizi led Cliff Room with
three wins and a table run. Teammates Peter Tagles and Maurice Elias also had three wins. Four Creekside players had one win each.
Cliff Room 4 upped their record to 14-1. 9th place Creekside 2 fell to 4-11.
Steve Myers, Ismael Huerta, and Peter Garcia each had three wins for 3rd place Don Q's 2 (11-4) in their easy 12-3 win at Break Time 2.
Dennis Nupdal, Paul Kouns, and Bob Freed got the lone wins for 8th place Break Time 2 (4-11). This was the fifth straight match win for Don Q's.
Monty's 3 avenged their heart-breaking week 14 loss by crushing host Carp Billiards, 14-1. Todd Knudsen, Phil Beach, Kevin Farrell, and
Kerry Randolph all had three wins for 5th place Monty's 3 (11-4). H.A. Johnson rolled in the lone Carp Billiards game win.
With the loss, Carp Billiards (3-11) fell one spot to 11th place.
Despite a monster 45 point night by "Pistol Pete" Conover, 2nd place Old King's Road 1 (12-3) lost to host Cliff Room 2 by a score of 9-6.
Conover had a table run to start the match, and OKR jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Three-game winner and captain Jack Poet sparked a three-game
Cliff Room streak, giving Jack's team a 3-2 lead. OKR regained the lead 4-3 with the help of Rachel Johnson's second win of the night,
but Cliff Room won the next two games to nose ahead, 5-4. Conover ended the second frame with a bang, his second break-and-run of the season.
That's when Cliff Room took over the match, winning three straight games to snatch away the victory. 6th place Cliff Room 2 improved to 9-6.
Sportsman 2 got their third win of the season and climbed out of the B Division cellar as they edged host Bak Dor 2 by a final of 8-7.
Adriana Vega was one of four Sportsman players with two wins, but her's were the most important as they were the first and last for Sportsman.
Kate Williams, Anthony Saenz, and Derrick Craig also had two wins for 10th place Sportsman 2 (3-12). "Super Mario" Reyes and
Terri Bentzinger each had two wins to help keep Bak Dor alive until the end of the match, but they fell one game short.
With the loss, 9th place Bak Dor 2 fell to 5-10.
Sportsman 1 got out their frustrations from last week's humiliating loss by smashing Old Town Tavern, 13-2.
Sportsman captain Chris "The Ripper" Ackler had his best night of the season, winning three games including a break-and-run. Teammates
Leana "Mississippi Hellcat" Finley and Chuke "Puppy Upper" Prajapati also had three wins each. Sportsman left nothing to chance in this match
as they won the first eight games. Marty Schwind and Jay Younger got the lone game wins for Old Town Tavern (3-12), who dropped
to last place with the loss.
