Sportsman 1 (10-6) moved into 4th place in A Division with a 12-3 thumping of Bak Dor 2. Rikki Byers won the opening game for Bak Dor when
her opponent prematurely sunk the 8-ball, but Sportsman answered with three straight wins to take a 3-1 lead. After the teams traded wins in the following four games,
Sportsman ended the night by winning the remaining seven games. Leana Finley, Chris Ackler, and Rick Hemmings all had three wins for Sportsman. Rundi
Culp and Mario Reyes got the other two wins for Bak Dor 2 (5-11), who dropped to 10th place with the loss.
After losing the opening game, Monty's 1 won the next nine games and cruised to a 12-3 victory against visiting Cliff Room 3.
Joe Mesa, John Bushnell, and Josue Solis all had three wins for 8th place Monty's 1 (6-10). Tony Lenzi, Keith Baugher, and Greg Contreras each
had one win for 11th place Cliff Room 3 (4-12).
1st place Don Q's 1 won the first three games at the Moose Lodge and easily rolled to a 10-5 victory. The top two players in A Division, Robert Rosa and Jim Holloway,
both had three wins for Don Q's 1 (15-1). Todd Smith and Don McCrary had two wins each for Moose Lodge. With the loss, the Moose Lodge (10-6) fell one spot
to 5th place.
After a fairly even opening frame, 2nd place Monty's 2 (14-2) exploded with nine games wins, two table runs, and a break-and-run as they buried host Cliff Room 1 by a 12-3 final.
After David Clark won the first of his two game wins, Cliff Room trailed 3-2. Nine games later it was 12-2. Andres Cortes led Monty's with three wins and a table run.
Jim Steele got his league-leading fourth break-and-run, and teammate Mundo Burques rolled in his third table run during the nine-game stretch.
6th place Cliff Room 1 fell to 7-9.
Captain Eric Kaiser led his squad with three wins and Old King's Road 2 was able to leave Tiburon Tavern with a 9-6 victory. Tiburon's Clint Dibala opened
the match with the first of his two game wins, but OKR won the next four games and never looked back. With the win, Old King's Road 2 (5-11) moved up to 9th place.
Last place Tiburon Tavern remains winless at 0-16.
1st place Cliff Room 4 (15-1) had little difficulty with visiting Break Time 2, winning 12-3. Maurice Elias extended his B Division lead with three wins and
his league-leading 10th table run. Terry Howell and Peter Tagles also had three wins for Cliff Room. Bob Freed, Dennis Nupdal, and Ed Ogden gathered the
lone Break Time game wins. 8th place Break Time 2 fell to 4-12.
With the closing of Don Q's, host Don Q's 2 was forced to move their match to Break Time, then they were forced to come from behind to defeat Carp Billiards, 9-6.
Colin Clayton had another impressive three-win night, leading Carp Billiards to a 4-3 lead after seven games. Don Q's took over from there. Antonio
Martines had three wins, Ken Hilton and captain Ismael Huerta got a table run as Don Q's won 6 of the last 8 games to seal the match. With the win, 3rd place Don Q's 2 (12-4) was
able to hold onto their slim lead over Break Time 5 and Monty's 3. Last place Carp Billiards fell to 3-13.
Monty's 3 took early control of their match against upset-minded Cliff Room 2 and rolled to an 11-4 victory. Three-game winners Kevin Farrell and Phil Beach helped
Monty's jump out to a 5-1 lead, which proved unsurmountable. Nick Doerr led Cliff Room with two wins. 5th place Monty's 3 (12-4) remains just a few games behind
3rd place Don Q's 2 and 4th place Break Time 5. 6th place Cliff Room 2 fell to 9-7.
2nd place Old King's Road 1 won the opening five game against visiting Endless Summer and cruised to a 9-6 victory. Captain Rachel Johnson led her team with three wins.
Teammate Pete Conover got OKR's eighth win with a table run. That eighth win came none-too-soon as Endless Summer won 4 of the last 5 games. Shaun Snyder and
Skyler Stamegna led 7th place Endless Summer (6-10) with two wins each.
With their backs to the wall, host Old Town Tavern pulled up their boot straps and won the final four games to edge Sportsman 2 by an 8-7 final.
Billy Beebe had three wins for Old Town Tavern (4-12), who moved up two spots to 9th place. Sportsman, led by three-game winner Adriana Vega, blew leads of 5-2 and 7-4.
With the loss, Sportsman 2 (3-13) dropped to 11th place.
Break Time 1 won 10 of the last 11 games at home against Creekside 2 and ran away with a 12-3 victory. Marc Alexander and George Guerrero both had three wins and a table run
for 3rd place Break Time 1 (12-4). Justin Brown, Kyle Gruel, and Keith Gruel each had one win for Creekside 2 (4-12), who dropped to 10th place.
Break Time 5 (12-4) maintained their #4 slot in B Division with an 11-4 win at Creekside 1. Behind Bob Pastor and Mike Rys's six total game wins, Break Time 5 had
the match sewn up before the beer frame. Jessica Carr and Mark Weingartner split the four Creekside game wins. 7th place Creekside 1 fell to 7-9, but moved one
game closer to 6th place Cliff Room 1. Creekside now trails Cliff Room by 14 games for the final playoff spot in A Division.
