A Division

Cliff Room 4 [5] at Sportsman 1 [10]
Three Sportsman break-and-runs, two by Pete Conover and one by Harry Peltz, broke the back of visiting Cliff Room 4.   Sportsman quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead, and after Cliff Room made things interesting by winning 3 of the next 4, Sportsman put the match away by winning four straight games.   This was Conover's second 50-point night in his last five matches.   Teammate Leana Finley won three more games to improve her record to 9-0.   The Hellcat is now the only undefeated roster player in the league.   Josue Solis led Cliff Room with two wins.   3rd place Sportsman 1 improved their record to 3-0.   12th place Cliff Room 4 fell to 0-4.

Don Q's 1 [14] at Roundin Third 2 [1]
After losing two of their first three matches, last summer's B Division champion Don Q's 1 evened their record at 2-2 with a 14-1 spanking of last-place Roundin Third 2.   Don Q's Robert Rosa led all scorers with three wins and a table run.   Jeff Azevedo, Jim Holloway, and Brent Boone also had three wins for Don Q's, who moved up one spot to 6th place.   Nick Lamb got the lone Roundin Third game win in the first game of the night.   Roundin Third 2 fell to 0-4.

Creekside 2 [3] at Brewco Lounge 1 [12]
Jeremy Warner and sub Robert combined for six wins, helping Brewco Lounge 1 win their first match of the season, a 12-3 thumping of Creekside 2.   Brewco won the first four games of the match and never looked back.   Jacob Viani had two wins for Creekside.   With the win, Brewco Lounge 1 (1-2) jumped from 11th to 8th place in the standings.   Creekside 2 (1-3) fell one spot to 11th place.

Break Time 4 [11] at Creekside 1 [4]
Steve Moreno extended his division-leading win streak to 10 games, helping 1st place Break Time 4 (4-0) defeat host Creekside 1 by an 11-4 score.   With the help of a Sergio Garcia table run (his first ever run), Creekside 1 nearly erased a 4-1 deficit, but Break Time took the last six games of the match to win going away.   Mark Weingartner led Creekside with two game wins.   With the loss, Creekside 1 (1-3) fell to 10th place.

Sportsman 2 [5] at Endless Summer [10]
Three-game winners Nick Doerr and Shaun Snyder fueled a late surge that lifted Endless Summer to a 10-5 victory at home against Sportsman 2.   Two-game winners Anthony Saenz and Derrick Craig helped Sportsman overcome an early 4-1 deficit, cutting the lead to 6-5.   Endless Summer took over from there, winning the last four games, capped off by Doerr's first-ever break-and-run.   Saenz opened his night with his first table run of the season.   2nd place Endless Summer improved their sparkling record to 4-0.   Sportsman 2 (2-2) fell two spots to 7th place.

Monty's 1 [11] at Cliff Room 3 [4]
Ernesto Sanchez and Gerardo Guerrero combined for six wins, leading undefeated Monty's 1 to an 11-4 victory at Cliff Room 3.   Cliff Room stayed even with Monty's through the first half of the match, but after Guerrero and Sanchez closed out the second frame with wins, it was all Monty's.   Norm Brown had two of the four Cliff Room game wins.   4th place Monty's 1 improved to 3-0, and they will host 4rd place Sportsman 1 (3-0) next week.   Cliff Room 3 (1-3) fell to 9th place.

Monty's 2 [12] at Tiburon Tavern [3]
2nd place Monty's 2 improved their record to 4-0 after they crushed host Tiburon Tavern, 12-3.   Monty's was led by Ismael Huerta, who had three wins and a table run to extend his league-leading win streak to 11 games.   Teammate Vicente Mosqueda also had three wins, and fellow teammate Rigo Morales ended the night with a table run.   This was the 18th straight match win for Monty's 2, who haven't lost since March 24th.   Brandi Dillard, Craig Keefer, and Clint Dibala each got one win for 10th place Tiburon Tavern (1-3).

Brewco Lounge 2 [5] at Break Time 5 [10]
In a battle of two unbeaten teams, host Break Time 5 was able to win 5 of the last 6 games to pull away with a 10-5 victory against Brewco Lounge 2.   Two-game winners Everett Plante and Ian Cox were able to keep the score close through the first nine games, but Break Time's three-game winners Ed Martin and Mike Rys were too much to handle.   As a result, these two teams swapped places in the standings.   Break Time 5 (4-0) climbed to 3rd place, while Brewco Lounge 2 (3-1) fell to 4th place.

Bak Dor 2 [11] at Break Time 2 [4]
Bak Dor 2 was able to bounce back nicely from last week's 15-0 loss to post an 11-4 win at Break Time 2.   Rikki Byers and Bob McLean both rolled in three wins for 9th place Bak Dor 2 (2-2).   Bob Freed, Dennis Nupdal, and the Ogdens (Ed and Avonell) each had one win for Break Time 2 (0-4).

Moose Lodge 2 [8] at Carp Billiards 1 [7]
Carp Billiards 1 and Moose Lodge 2 stood toe-to-toe and traded blows all night, and in the end the Moose were the ones left standing as they squeaked out an 8-7 victory.   The score sheet read "W-L-W-L" almost the whole way down.   Moose Lodge's Juan Manzo led all scorers with three wins.   James Maertens, Chad Murphy, and Garet Watters each had two wins for Carp Billiards.   With the win, Moose Lodge 2 improved to 3-1 and moved up one spot to 5th place.   Carp Billiards 1 fell to 0-4 and slid back to 12th place.

Cliff Room 1 [7] at Monty's 3 [8]
Monty's 3 trailed most of the match against visiting Cliff Room 1, but a late surge of three wins helped Monty's 3 get to eight wins ahead of Cliff Room.   After three-game winner Pat Wieser won his second game, Cliff Room held a 4-2 lead, but Monty's Jim Steele and Todd Knudsen finished out the second frame with back-to-back table runs to tie the score at 5-5.   Dave Clark put Cliff Room ahead 6-5 with a win over Kevin Farrell, but Monty's responded with three straight wins to close out the match.   With the win, Monty's 3 evened their record at 2-2 and climbed into 7th place.   Cliff Room (2-2) fell back to 6th place with the loss.

Old Town Tavern [4] at Cliff Room 2 [11]
Old Town Tavern not only ended their losing streak at 31 games with a win in game one, they actually led 1st place Cliff Room 2 by a 4-3 score after seven games.   Unfortunately for Old Town, Cliff Room won the last eight games to cruise to an 11-4 victory.   Captain Jack Poet led Cliff Room with three wins, and teammate Maurice Elias notched his second table run of the season.   Mike Craig, Jay Younger, Billy Beebe, and Marty Schwind each had one win for Old Town.   With the win, Cliff Room 2 improved their record to 4-0, and is two game wins ahead of their next week's opponent, 2nd place Monty's 2.   Last place Old Town Tavern fell to 0-4.

Roundin Third 1 [7] at Moose Lodge 1 [8]
Roundin Third 1 won the first three and the last two games at Moose Lodge 1, but those pesky middle 10 games got in their way and the Moose Lodge was able to pull out an 8-7 match win.   Mike Perez, Coco Padilla, and Juan Magana each had two wins to pace the Moose to their first win of the season.   John Owens had a nice three-win night for Roundin Third 1.   Moose Lodge 1 (1-3) moved up two spots to 11th place.   Roundin Third 1 (2-2) fell two spots to 8th place.
