A Division

Creekside 1 [6] at Brewco Lounge 1 [9]view score sheet
8th place Brewco Lounge 1 (4-6) jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never let up against visiting Creekside 1, posting a 9-6 victory.   This was a team effort for Brewco as four players had two wins each; Tyler Malta, Tony Allred, Jeremy Warner, and Chris Forester.   Creekside's Mark Weingartner was the only three-game winner in this match.   9th place Creekside 1 fell to 3-7.

Break Time 4 [13] at Cliff Room 4 [2]view score sheet
Luis Hernandez had three wins and a table run to lead Break Time 4 to an easy 13-2 victory at Cliff Room 4.   Jim Green and Jake Speer joined Hernandez in the three-win circle.   With the win, 2nd place Break Time 4 improved to 9-1 as they head into two grueling matches against 3rd place Monty's 1 and 1st place Sportsman 1.   Cliff Room 4 (1-10) slid back to last place.   Jaime Garcia and Brenden Selvig provided all the Cliff Room offense.

Don Q's 1 [11] at Creekside 2 [4]view score sheet
After struggling a little in the opening frame, 4th place Don Q's 1 (8-2) won 9 of 11 to pull away to an 11-4 victory at Creekside 2.   Robert Rosa and Jim Holloway led Don Q's with a combined six game wins.   Creekside's Jacob Viani had a good night, winning all three of his games.   10th place Creekside 2 fell to 3-8.

Roundin Third 2 [4] at Don Q's 2 [11]view score sheet
Antonio Martines had three wins and Chris Atkins rolled in his first break-and-run of the season, leading host Don Q's 2 to an 11-4 victory over Roundin Third 2.   Nick Lamb gave Roundin Third an early 1-0 lead, but Don Q's responded with five straight game wins and cruised from there.   Steve Lotton, George Wordlaw, and Kevin Telfer also had game wins for Roundin Third 2 (1-9), who slipped a spot to 12th place.   5th place Don Q's 2 improved to 7-3.

Sportsman 2 [7] at Monty's 1 [8]view score sheet
After splitting the first six games, Monty's 1 seemingly took control of the match, winning the next four games to go on the hill, 7-3, against visiting Sportsman 1.   However, two-game winners Anthony Saenz and Adriana Vega bookended a four-game Sportsman comeback that tied the score at 7-7.   That brought to the table Monty's Gerardo Guerrero and Sportsman's Sam Auchincloss.   Auchicloss got down to the 8-ball but couldn't convert, and Guerrero took the game to give Monty's the victory.   With the match win, Monty's 1 improved to 9-1 and holds onto 3rd place.   Their upcoming path looks bleak, however, as they must next face 2nd place Break Time 4 and 4th place Don Q's 1.   7th place Sportsman 2 dropped to 5-5.

Endless Summer [7] at Sportsman 1 [8]view score sheet
1st place Sportsman 1 survived a scare from visiting Endless Summer, having to win the last two games to pull out an 8-7 victory.   After three-game winner Harry Peltz put Sportsman on the board first, Endless Summer took the next three games, highlighted by captain Adam Priddy's nice table run against Sportsman captain Chris Ackler.   With the help of a Peltz table run, Sportsman was able to tie the score at 3-3, and for the next eight games the teams traded wins.   Endless Summer reached the hill first at 7-6, but Ackler beat Eric Torbet to send the match to its hill-hill game, where Pete Conover broke and ran the table; his third game win of the night.   Priddy, Shaun Snyder, and Kyle Hubert each won two games for 6th place Endless Summer (5-5).   Sportsman 1 heads into the holiday break undefeated at 10-0.

Tiburon Tavern [0] at Cliff Room 2 [15]view score sheet
It was an all-Cliff Room 2 affair as they blasted visiting Tiburon Tavern by a 15-0 score.   This was the second perfect match this season for 1st place Cliff Room 2 (11-0).   Maurice Elias, Jack Poet, Paul Lacey, Jim Zambelli, and Peter Garcia all had three wins, with Garcia's last win coming by way of a table run.   13th place Tiburon Tavern fell to 1-10.

Monty's 3 [10] at Break Time 2 [5]view score sheet
4th place Monty's 3 (8-3) and 12th place Break Time 2 (2-9) played ring-around-the-rosie for the first eight games of their match until Monty's got tired of going back and forth; they won six straight games to clinch a 10-5 victory.   Kevin Farrell and Hymie Runyon combined for six Monty's game wins.   Each Break Time player won a single game.

Brewco Lounge 2 [9] at Bak Dor 2 [6]view score sheet
Brewco Lounge 2 let an early lead slip away against Bak Dor 2, but a timely four-game win streak to end the match saved the day as Brewco pulled away to a 9-6 victory.   Brewco held leads of 3-1 and 5-3, but Rosalie Breeland's first-ever league table run sparked Bak Dor to a three-game rally that put them ahead at 6-5.   Bak Dor fizzled out after that.   Bryan Lum notched his fourth three-win night of the season to lead 5th place Brewco Lounge 2 (8-3).   10th place Bak Dor 2 fell to 4-7.
