| Two teams with only one loss each knocked heads on Tuesday as Monty's 1 visited Break Time 4. The first half of this match was very close. The two teams traded game wins, and no one had more than a one-game lead through nine games. Break Time 4 finally took control of the match when two-game winners Jim Green, Jake Speer, and Luis Hernandez ended the second frame with back-to-back-to-back wins. Captain Martin Hernandez opened the beer frame with a win over Monty's sub J.P. Ramirez, putting Break Time on the hill at 7-4. Monty's wasn't finished, however, and after two-game winner Gerardo Guerrero and Ernesto Sanchez won to close the gap to 7-6, it was anybody's match. Jake Speer then beat Kez Gillatt to give Break Time the victory. Mundo Burques closed out the match with his second game win to make the final score 8-7. This was a crucial win for 2nd place Break Time 4 (10-1) because it keeps them within striking distance of their next-week's opponent, 1st place Sportsman 1. The disappointing loss dropped 4th place Monty's 1 to 9-2, enabling 3rd place Don Q's 1 to move ahead of them in the standings. Monty's 1 and Don Q's 1 will square off next week at Monty's. | |

| Donald Jordan had three wins and a break-n-run, leading Cliff Room 3 to a 10-5 home victory over Roundin Third 2. After Jordan opened the match with a break-and-run, Roundin Third won the next three games to take a 3-1 lead. Cliff Room quickly tied the score at 3-3, and after two-game winner George Wordlaw put Roundin Third ahead 4-3, Cliff Room exploded for six straight wins, capped off by a break-and-run by Keith Baugher. 11th place Cliff Room 3 imrpoved to 2-9, while 12th place Roundin Third 2 fell to 1-10. | |

| Don Q's 2 jumped out to a 3-0 lead at Creekside 1 and never trailed in their 10-5 victory. All five Don Q's players had two wins. Ricardo Topete and Mark Weingartner led Creekside with two wins each. Creekside was able to close the gap to 4-3, but Don Q's won six straight games to nail down the match. 5th place Don Q's 2 improved to 8-3, while 9th place Creekside 1 fell to 3-8. | |

| It took Don Q's 1 a little while to wake up, but when they did, they easily ran away with an 11-4 victory at home against Cliff Room 4. When captain and two-game winner Brenden Selvig won his first game, Cliff Room 4 held an early 3-1 lead. Seven games later, Don Q's had the match in hand at 8-3. Captain Jim Holloway and Brent Boone both had table runs for Don Q's 1, while teammate and anchor Robert Rosa led Don Q's with three wins. The big win moved Don Q's 1 (9-2) ahead of Monty's 1 and into 3rd place. These two teams are separated by only four game wins, and they will face each other next week. | |

| Host Endless Summer rode two win streaks of four games and five games to a 9-6 victory against Brewco Lounge 1. With Brewco ahead 1-0, two-game winners Nick Doerr, Kyle Hubert, Nick Michaels, and John Pollock all won for Endless Summer to make the score 4-1. Two-game winner Jeremy Warner sparked a four-game Brewco streak that gave them the lead at 5-4, but Endless Summer responded by winning the next five games to secure the match. 6th place Endless Summer improved their record to 6-5. Captain Tony Allred had a break-and-run for 8th place Brewco Lounge 1 (4-7). | |

| Sportsman 2 hosted Sportsman 1 in the first of two "Sporty Bowl" drink fests at the Sportsman. These two teams know how to play and they know how to party. Sami "Cast Iron Bitch" Glover put up $200 to cover the bar tab, and that was gone in a flash. While all the drinking was going on, there was some pool to be played. "Pistol" Pete Conover opened the match with a table run against Sportsman 2's Kate Williams. Williams' night got worse in her second game, when captain Chris "The Ripper" Ackler broke and ran the table against her. The Ripper also had a table run in his last game...his first two table runs of the season. Despite the rash of table runs, Sportsman 2 kept the match close through the first two frames, thanks to the play of Sam Auchincloss. Sam won his first two games, holding undefeated Sportsman 1's lead to one game at 5-4. Conover ended the second frame with the second of his three wins, igniting Sportsman 1 to a six-game run to end the match. Leana "Mississippi Hellcat" Finley also had three wins for 1st place Sportsman 1 (11-0), who are now the league's only undefeated team. Sportsman 1 will start off 2010 with two tough home matches against 2nd place Break Time 4 and 3rd place Don Q's 1. 7th place Sportsman 2 fell to 5-6. | |

| Tiburon Tavern let a 3-0 lead slip away at home against Break Time 2, and Break Time came from behind to win 9-6. Three-game winner Craig Keefer sparked the opening three-game win streak for 13th place Tiburon (1-11), but three-game winner Ed Ogden helped Break Time quickly get back into the match, and by the end of round two, Break Time held a 5-4 lead. Tiburon briefly regained the lead at 6-5, but Break Time won the remaining games to close out the match. Break Time 2 (3-9) moved up to 11th place. | |

| 3rd place Break Time 5 (10-2) won 8 of the first 9 games at home against Carp Billiards 1 and cruised to a 10-5 victory. Bob Pastor had three wins and teammate Ed Martin had a table run to help power the Break Time attack. H.A. Johnson and James Maertens had two wins each for 9th place Carp Billiards 1 (4-8). | Previously undefeated Cliff Room 2 fell into an early 5-0 hole against hometown rival Cliff Room 1 and couldn't climb out, losing 8-7. Cliff Room 2 made a valiant effort to get back into the match, winning 7 of 9 to force a hill-hill game, but Cliff Room 1's Dave Clark finished off his perfect night with a win against Paul Lacey to give Cliff Room 1 the victory. Cliff Room 2 (11-1) remains in 1st place in B Division. 6th place Cliff Room 1 (8-4) padded their lead over 7th place Moose Lodge 2. | |

| 8th place Roundin Third 1 (4-8) hung tough in the first half of their match against visiting powerhouse Monty's 2, but Monty's dominated the second half, winning 11-4. With the score tied 4-4, three-game winners Ismael Huerta and Rigo Morales sparked a seven-game run for Monty's to close out the match. 2nd place Monty's 2 improved to 10-2. | |

| Mario Reyes and Sebastian Aldana combined for six wins and host Moose Lodge 2 was able to get by Bak Dor 2 by a score of 9-6. After falling behind 3-1, two-game winners Daniel Drnavich and Bob McLean helped Bak Dor tie the score at 4-4. Aldana then started and Reyes finished a four-game win streak that ended the match. 7th place Moose Lodge 2 improved to 7-5. 10th place Bak Dor 2 fell to 4-8. | |
